Everything on our menu is 98% home cooked; nothing frozen, mass produced or trans fats. Surfin Souvlaki beams with the authentic - healthy Mediterranean (please read below for the synopsis). We are the home of the "2 lb healthy breakfast burrito originally for the Saddleback College students on a budget".

The owners of Surfiin' Souvlaki have over 55 years of very successful restaurant experiences. Also, we are directly from the motherland of Greece. Our goal is to offer authentic "Greek food with a Twist".

The two colors of the Greek flag symbolize the blue of the Hellenic Sea and the whiteness of its restless waves. We at Surfin' Souvlaki wanted to link the uniqueness of Greece's surrounding sea with the very significant surf scene of Southern California. Thus Surfin' Souvlaki.

The "Mediterranean Diet" is known for healthy eating habits. The ORIGINAL MEDITERRANEAN DIET is based on the traditional dietary patterns from the Greek island of Crete, other parts of Greece and Southern Italy. Leading nutrition experts worldwide claim the diet increases life expectancy and protects against heart disease and cancer. The healthy diet goes far beyond the use of particular ingredients in our recipes. It also attains it's full meaning from the climate of Greece (similar to California's) Greek customs, and the way of life for the Mediterranean people. In Greece we eat healthy and enjoy life by hard work and socializing often times into the wee hours of the morning. Thus, the theory, ""laughter brings life to the spirit""..
