Just a stone's throw from the historic Amtrak station in Fullerton is Stubrik's Steakhouse, best known for its meat and potatoes fare and late night hours. The modest brick exterior leads to a classy dining room and bar full of dark woods and exposed rafters. Specialties include the Black and Blue Filet Mignon stuffed with blue cheese and covered in a burgundy blue cheese sauce. Other entrees are the 24-ounce Porterhouse steak, 16oz rib eye, 16oz New York and 8, 12, 16oz baseball cut Top Sirloins. Some evenings they offer live blues music and the bar (open 4PM-2AM) stays busy thanks to the upstairs lounge with pool tables and comfortable couches. Regarded around town as a well-kept secret, Stubrik's is packed with locals who've been coming for years. There are plenty of college students as well, most enjoying their red meat around midnight. You wouldn't know it from most of the tables, but there are salads, pastas and seafood on the menu as well.
