1 of 5 2010 BEST Neighborhood Bar - Top 5

The Crosby

Restaurant/Bar/Bookstore opened up by 3 very young entrepreneurs (also musicians and artists themselves) right in the heart of the Downtown Artist's Village.

Calavera wallpaper, dark woods, working boomboxes along an entire wall, black tufted booths; This place has the ambiance that you tend to only find in a city like New York or San Francisco.

Dinner is a more intimate and comfortable dining until around 10ish. Head Chef Aron Habiger and Sous Chef Joshua Han serve up a creative array of gourmet pizzas, pastas, tapas, soups, and salads. The hidden gems tend to be their off-menu specials (ie. steak, fresh fish, etc.).

Full menu available on The Crosby's website. (www.thisisthecrosby.com)

NOTE:
The kitchen serves their full menu until 1:30am, but around 10pm the restaurant vibe then tends to switch to a more bar atmosphere. The magnitude of that changeover depends on the theme of the night and the entertainment booked (On weekends especially, it can get very loud and rowdy).
