Voting Home / 230 Forest Avenue Restaurant & Bar
Nominated for: BEST American Bistro
Proud recipient of the prestigious Zagat award, 230 Forest Avenue gained a reputation as the "in spot" among foodies after debuting at its namesake address downtown in the summer of 1995. It is the artistry of innovative executive chef Marc Cohen, however, that has added refreshing new appeal to what are termed starters, green plates, ocean and land plates as well as pasta bowls. Seafood rules the menu. The hazelnut-crusted Alaskan halibut is a work of art; the Pacific Northwest cioppino is chock-full of lobster, Asian freshwater prawns, Manila clams, New Zealand greenlip mussels, oysters, calamari and fish in a rich seafood and shellfish stock.

I had some of the best sea bass over there. Great food, but be warned, you will be sitting on top of each other. Not a lot of space in there.
